A refreshing and elegant cocktail
Introducing The Lillet Spritz. Now, I love a good Aperol Spritz just as much as the next person, but I think I’ve found something better!
This is a refreshing and elegant cocktail that is perfect for any dinner party. It is made with Lillet Blanc, gin, lemon simple syrup, and tonic or sparkling water.
The flavor
The Lillet Blanc gives the cocktail a slightly sweet and fruity flavor, while the gin adds an extra touch of herbaceousness.
The Lillet Blanc Spritz is easy to make and can be customized to taste. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add more lemon simple syrup. If you prefer a drier drink, add less lemon simple syrup or top off the glass with more tonic or sparkling water. You can also use any type of citrus fruit for the garnish. I like to decorate with a few lemon and orange slices and a fresh sprig of mint from my little herb garden.
This cocktail is best served chilled over ice.
What does Lillet Blanc taste like?
Lillet Blanc is a French aperitif that is made with a blend of herbs, fruits, and spices. It has a light, refreshing flavor with notes of citrus, honey, and flowers.
When I first opened the bottle of Lillet Blanc, I was struck by the lovely delicate fragrance. The citrus and flora aroma made me want to slurp straight from the bottle. I resisted. However, I did grab the nearest glass and took a sip. Think rose garden meets light dessert wine – complex, nuanced and delicious.
